VARICOSE VEINS REMOVAL WITH AMBULATORY PHLEBECTOMY

Often used after EVLT, phlebectomy is a safe and minimally invasive, in-office procedure that involves the actual removal of branches of bulging varicose veins. Our providers will use a special marker to note the location of the vein and will actually remove branches, one section at a time with special instruments. The skin is anesthetized with a local injection and the tiny incisions will be closed with small tape strips. Your leg will be wrapped with a dressing and covered with a graduated compression stocking. Patients will walk immediately and carry on normal daily activities with the exception of heavy lifting, vigorous exercise or swimming.
